“Following a morning asana practice, we will engage in a traditional pranayama sequence to deepen our understanding of yoga and further quiet our minds. You will be surprised by how it impacts your day. With delicious meals and nature hikes in the afternoons, you might never want to leave. The traditional house in which we practice, along with the breathtaking view of the mountains from the shala windows, make every moment truly magnificent. Yoga is always better with like-minded individuals. The yogis who joined us last year were incredible! So authentic, and we had deeper life conversations during dinner than on the yoga mats! I can still smell the fresh bread and morning coffee. See you in July!”

“Practice and all is coming”
K. Pattabhi Jois
Participating in an Ashtanga yoga retreat in the picturesque Andalusian mountains of Spain was truly an enriching experience in my second year. I was not a beginner anymore! That was I thought, however, I saw the long road ahead of me. The dramatic landscape provided a breath-taking backdrop for our daily yoga practice, fostering a sense of serenity and connection with nature.
The tranquillity of the surroundings enhanced the mindfulness and focus of each yoga session, creating a harmonious blend of physical exertion and spiritual rejuvenation. The retreat’s location in the mountains not only offered a unique and invigorating setting but also provided a sense of seclusion, allowing participants to immerse themselves fully in the transformative journey of Ashtanga yoga.
The overall ambiance of the retreat was brilliant. The camaraderie among participants, combined with the warmth and hospitality of the staff and yoga instructors (Laura taking care of us all with Ross and later Carmen with her chants), created a supportive and uplifting atmosphere. Moreover, the retreat organizers ensured a delightful culinary experience, offering nourishing and delicious meals that complemented the yoga practice.
The skilled and encouraging yoga instructors played a pivotal role in guiding us through our practice, providing personalized attention and insights that added depth to our understanding of Ashtanga yoga. I am looking forward the next edition!
